CS5000 Software Version 1.2
Inter-Tel released version 1.2 software for the 5000 Series in January 2006.
The new level of software brings several exciting new features to the system:
- Call Data Logging - See Missed, Received and Dialled Call Info
- Intelligent Directory Search - Access Directory Features Quickly and Efficiently
- Voicemail Forward to Email - Simple Unified Messaging Now Included
- Voicemail Port Increase - Now a Maximum 8 Port Capacity

Call Data Logging
This superb new feature gives Inter-Tel display endpoints similar functionality to that commonly found in mobile phones. It enables the user to view lists of missed, received and dialled calls, accessed on-screen through the easy to navigate endpoint display.

Intelligent Directory Search
Each key is assigned several letters, as a key is used to input text, several possible word matches are visible on the display. For example, if you are looking to input the word ‘Cliff’ you would need only use 5 key presses, as opposed to 15 via normal methods. This enables the user to access internal and external directory names and system features more quickly and efficiently. When searching names, it is now possible to search by surname or forename. |

Voicemail Forward to Email
This great new feature can be set up to automatically forward a copy of a voicemail to a pre-configured email address. The system converts the message to a .wav file and sends it via SMTP. An important note concerning this new feature is that Inter-Tel recommends a minimum of 512Mb CS DataCard on the system. Actual storage needs depends on a number of factors including – but not limited to – the amount of voicemail messages and their duration. |
