UPS Monitoring: The UPS Monitoring functionality will allow the Inter-Tel 5000 system to gracefully shutdown in the event of power loss in order to avoid possible corruption of data. The following UPS devices are now supported:
- MGE Pulsar Evolution series comes supplied with a USB cable that connects from the UPS to an available USB port on the Inter-Tel 5000
- ONEAC ON series in advanced interface mode with connection via ONEAC USB ConverterCable
- APC Smart-UPS series with connection via USB
Enhanced Phantom Extensions: Phantom extensions have been enhanced to be fully functional virtual devices on the Inter-Tel 5000. By removing the requirement that phantom extensions are always in a Do Not Disturb (DND) status they are capable of having true statuses such as busy, ringing, etc. Phantom extensions are able to perform advanced call routing tasks without the need for a desk phone (i.e. basically a virtual office).
Axxess to Inter-Tel 5000 DB Conversion Utility: The Inter-Tel 5000 Database Conversion utility now supports conversion from an Axxess database (up to CPC 256) to an Inter-Tel 5000 database.
Caller ID Propagation: The Inter-Tel 5000 is capable of supporting Caller ID Propagation for incoming ISDN calls that are answered and transferred or forwarded back out to the PSTN. The configuration to propagate Caller-ID for trunk/station transfer calls is configure at station and voicemail application level*.
OAI Outgoing Caller ID Control: This feature allows System OAI Level two the ability to specify theoutgoing Caller ID Number and Name information when the outgoing call is sent on a PRI/E1 trunk*.
*PSTN providers may not allow masquerading of Caller ID, please check with the local network provider.
